Former Steve Miller Band lead singer performs in Eastside Events Center on February 15th

BozScaggsLAS VEGAS – American singer, songwriter and guitarist Boz Scaggs will perform hits that span over decades at the Eastside Events Center inside Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel at 5255 Boulder Highway, Las Vegas, Nev. on Friday, February 15, 2014 at 8:30 p.m. One of the great blue-eyed soul singers, Boz Scaggs started gritty and then had more success when he turned toward smooth soft rock in the back half of the '70s. He had gained fame in the 1960s as a guitarist and sometime lead singer with the Steve Miller Band. Then Boz Scaggs performed solo in the 1970s and had several Top 20 hit singles including: "It's Over," "Lowdown," "What Can I Say," and "Lido Shuffle," and a #2 album, Silk Degrees.

Scaggs spent much of the '80s in retirement, owning and operating the San Francisco nightclub Slim's and limiting his performances primarily to the club's annual black-tie New Year's Eve concerts. He resurfaced in 1988 with the album Other Road.

Scaggs toured as a member of the Dukes of September in 2012 with the group's other principals including Michael McDonald and Donald Fagen. He emerged from his recorded silence in March of 2013 with Memphis, a collection of original and cover tunes and was meant to reflect the heritage of the Southern soul tradition in the 21st century. Scaggs continues to write, record music and tour.

Tickets start at $34.95 and can be purchased at or by calling the Eastside Cannery box office at (702) 856-5470.
