The Bangles are back on tour after several years off the road, and for the first time in four years will be performing in Las Vegas at the Eastside Events Center inside Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel at 5255 Boulder Highway, Las Vegas, Nev. on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 8:30 p.m.
With the band’s mixture of 1960s-influenced folk rock harmonies and jangle pop with a modern punk/garage band undertone, the Bangles had many hits, such as "Walk Like an Egyptian," "Manic Monday," "Hazy Shade of Winter," and the 1989 number-one single "Eternal Flame."
The band formed in 1980 in a Brentwood, California garage with guitarists Susanna Hoffs and Vicki Peterson and drummer Debbi Peterson. Their common love for rock’s golden age and the crystalline sound they naturally created when they blended their voices made them an instant success.
While much has changed in their lives and careers, one fundamental element remains unchanged, as Vicki fondly remembers, “we were a band, the three of us. And we still are.”
Tickets go on sale on Friday, May 9, 2014 starting at $23.95 and can be purchased at www.eastsidecannery.com or by calling the Eastside Cannery box office at (702) 856-5470.
