A concert by Canadian Music Hall of Fame group The Guess Who will take place at the Eastside Events Center inside Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel at 5255 Boulder Highway, Las Vegas, Nev. on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 8:30 p.m.
The Guess Who were Canada’s first international rock superstars and the first Canadian rock group to reach number one in the United States with their hit “American Woman” in March of 1970.
The group’s other Billboard hits include “These Eyes,” “Laughing,” “No Sugar Tonight,” “Hand Me Down World,” “No Time,” “Undun,” “Share The Land” and “Clap For The Wolfman” – a tribute to legendary disc jockey, Wolfman Jack.
The Guess Who originally formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba more than 40 years ago. It fostered a sound and a following that continues to this day, evidenced by their successful and busy tour schedule. In addition, the continued success of “classic rock” stations throughout the United States has helped to broaden the base of the group’s loyal followers. Over the years, the band’s music has incorporated blues and folk influences into its rock melodies.
